Time Sure Flies

I don't know where the time goes these days.  My baby girl graduated from Highland High Preschool today.  She will be going to Kindergarten in August.  I'm not sure how I feel about all of this.  She is growing up way too fast.  Time needs to slow down just a bit.  I absolutely LOVE the stage Alyssa is in right now.  I've loved every stage of her life, but there is something about 4/5 year olds that is really special.  She is able to communicate everything she feels, thinks, etc. to me and she teaches me so much everyday.  She is so fun to just hang out with everyday.   I love her so much and can't imagine my life without her!  Here is a sneak peak of the pictures to come from her graduation when I have more time to post.

Easter 2011

It's been a long time since I posted anything on this blog.  As you can all tell, I'm not very good at blogging.  I find it more of a pain then anything.  I thought that I would try to be a little bit better about posting or there really is no point of me having a blog.  Here goes my attempt.

We had such a great Easter.  In Alyssa's words, "This was the best Easter ever!"  She was so spoiled as usual.  Alyssa loved all three of the Easter egg hunts.  We had so much Easter candy I didn't even know what to do with it all.  Good thing all my sisters LOVE candy and did a pretty good job at eating the majority of it. :)

Here are some of the picture highlights:

I loved all the faces Alyssa made during the egg hunts.

Alyssa LOVES PEZ, so she usally gets one for every holiday now.
Here is her collection.  She LOVES it!

Alyssa posing in her cute Easter dress

This little duck was one of her favorite things in her Easter basket.

She was so excited to get Tangled in her basket.  In her words,
"This is the movie I've always wanted and have been bugging you about getting me.  You don't have to get it for me now becuase the Easter bunny did.  How did the Easter bunny know I wanted this movie so bad?"

She found her basket behind this chair.  It didn't take her long to find.

Pictures are out of order.  This is her getting ready to look for basket Easter morning.
Her basket full of surprises from the Easter Bunny.

We colored some eggs this year.  This was Alyssa first time coloring eggs.
I think she enjoyed coloring them.  Her faces kind of tell it all.

 Here's the final product

Alyssa loves to touch and kiss my belly all day.
I LOVE how much she loves her sister already!!

All the Mason girls and dad.

Grandma Nan and Grandpa David with all the grandkids at the St. George Easter egg hunt.

Alyssa got some bubbles from the egg hunt.
I thought this picture was so cute of her and her cousin Ashtyn blowing bubbles.

What a fun Easter.  I can't wait for next year!!
Next year I will get to dress another cute girl in her cute Easter clothes!
 I just LOVE Spring/Easter clothes!

AMAZING WEEKEND-CHAYCE PASSED THE BAR!

What an amazing weekend we have had. Thursday night we went and saw the Lion King at Capitol Theatre. It was fabulous! The costumes were so awesome. We got to go back stage after the performance and see some of the costumes and props. I can't believe the little space they have to work in. The whole thing was just great. Friday we went on a drive through Provo canyon and stopped in Heber at my favorite place, Granny's, to get a shake. The drive was beautiful! I love this time of year. Then we hung out in Park City and ate at Loco Lizard, which is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. This morning Alyssa had her first soccer game. It was hilarious watching them play. I forget how entertaining 4 year olds are when they play soccer. Alyssa was a little shy, since it was her first game. She just kind of ran around the field. She didn't want to get too close to the ball for fear she would end up in the mass herd of children and get ran over. She had some pretty good kicks though. After her soccer game we went up Emigration canyon and ate breakfast at Ruth's Diner. While we were at Ruth's, Chayce got a text from a friend that the bar results were out. He hurried and looked up his number and sure enough he found out that he PASSED THE BAR!! I am so proud of him. He is amazing! GOOD JOB CHAYCE! You are going to be a wonderful lawyer.

Newport Beach

We went to Newport Beach for spring break. I was REALLY ready to take a break from my class and leave town. We went during St. George's spring break which was the first week of March. This was a little too early. It was still kind of chilly in Cali, but it was still fun. I sure wish St. George would decide to change their spring break to the third week in March. Cali would of been great then. Oh well, what do you do. Enjoy it anyway!

We decided to do something a little different then we've done before and take a trip to LA. It was kind of a long drive in all the traffic. I guess that's why we don't usually go that direction. Anyway, we went to the Griffith Observatory. It was pretty fun. We have never been there before and I have never seen the Hollywood sign that close. It was fun but cold and very windy-if you couldn't tell by my sweet hair-do in this picture!

We ate Mexican food one night for dinner. My plate was as big as the table.

I have never seen so much food in my life.

We were pretty stuffed when we finished and I bet we only ate about 1/8 of the food.

We headed to Newport beach for a fun day.

One night we took a walk out on the pier and
noticed something down on the beach.

We went down to the beach and found this dolphin dead.

It was so sad.

We wanted to see some dolphins but not like this.

We decided to take a boat ride to go whale and dolphin watching.

We hoped to see some dolphins alive and doing well.

We did spot lots of dolphins.

We didn't end up seeing any whales. :(

Maybe we will next time.

But we did see lots of these.

I would take any one of these.

SOME DAY Chayce and I will own one of these.

You can't really tell how GORGEOUS all of these beach houses are

by looking at my crumby pictures. They were so beautiful and so fun to look at!

We love the beach!

I love this picture of Alyssa picking her wedgie

while I am trying to take her picture.

So cute!

I can't believe some of the crazy fish that people would catch off the pier.

They were very interesting looking.

I hope we make it back to the beach soon!

It Wouldn't be a California trip without....

DISNEYLAND!!!
We ended our great trip to California by going to the happiest place on earth, well at least most of us think that!
We always have to take a picture right inside the park. It's tradition. The kids dressed up in their matching clothes so we didn't loose any of them.
How sweet are these two!
Me, Lyss, and Aiden meeting Mr. Pooh.
Aiden is our nephew for all of those wondering why I have a baby boy in my arms.
He was so dang cute meeting Pooh.
He laughed and laughed at him and then honked his nose. It was adorable.

This usually happens after a couple hours of fun at Disneyland!

Of course we had to go on Alyssa's favorite ride.
AND
of course we had to have the "red teatup".

Pure joy

It wouldn't be a Disneyland trip without going to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique!

Thanks grandma and grandpa for pampering us!
What would we ever do without grandparents?

Alyssa thinks that the finger nail polish doesn't dry until the next day.
This would be her trying not to touch anything.
It doesn't matter how many times I tell her their dry, she still doesn't believe me.
And I quote, "I don't want to ruin my princess polish!"

How cute our these princesses?
Can't wait till the next trip!
