Family Pictures 2009

I love, love, love our family pictures that we had taken in November. Here are several of my favorites. I wish I could have made them bigger, but I don't have time to figure it out. Hopefully they still do the pictures justice.

I also had Alyssa's pictures taken in LaBella Photography studio. They turned out great!

I love this picture because it is Alyssa doing her sassy face.

I just LOVE this little girl!

Cabin & Ice Skating

This week we got to spend time at the cabin and go ice skating. I haven't been ice skating for years. It was a blast. It was Alyssa's first time. She was a little nervous, but was brave enough to go around 3 times. Maybe next time she'll make it around 4 times. :)

Her ice skates were adorable.

Ashtyn held Alyssa's hand up the hill each time they would sled down because Alyssa couldn't make it up by herself. It was so cute to see the older cousin helping out the little one.

We love spending time in the snow at the cabin!

December 2009 Events / CHRISTMAS

December was packed full of family fun. We did a lot this year for Christmas with both sides of the family. I just love family time. There are several pictures of what we did this Christmas below. This month we went to Temple Square, Salem Pond-to see more lights, went caroling, went to Christmas parties, played Christmas BINGO (an all time favorite), ate food, went to the cabin, went tubing and sledding, ate even more food, saw movies-The Princess and the Frog is really cute, and ate even more food. I think that is one of the main things I did this whole December-EAT, and EAT, and EAT. I guess that explains the 5 pound weight gain. December was a blast. Enjoy-sorry the pictures are out of order.

Christmas day outfit

Grandma and Grandpa gave Alyssa a "Darbie"-(that's how Alyssa says it)
with a blue barbie car. This was a huge hit. She played with it for hours!

Alyssa's favorite Christmas present was the chapstick in her stocking. She is obsessed with chapstick. That's all Santa should have brought her. She would have been completely happy and it Christmas would have only cost $ 0.99.

The first thing that Alyssa said when she opened this present is, "This blanket is too soft!" How can a blanket be too soft? She is in love with this blanket now and carries it everywhere.

Alyssa was excited to get a "workout" outfit so she can go running with mom and dad.

This is a picture of Alyssa right when she woke up Christmas morning.
She was so excited to see what Santa brought her, she could hardly stand it.

These 2 pictures are of the kids wearing their Christmas pajamas on Christmas eve.

My cute sisters playing some Christmas BINGO!

Alyssa's ready to get her BINGO on!
Christmas BINGO is a family tradition on my (Natalie's) side of the family.
Thanks mom and dad for this awesome family tradition!

Alyssa and G-Ma Shelly

Alyssa has been begging us to do a gingerbread us for a while now. So we bought this kit and decided to try it. Here is our finished product. It isn't perfect, but it was fun. Alyssa enjoyed shoving the candy in her mouth as much as she did putting the candy on the house. I learned a valuable lesson from this experience: Don't try to be a perfectionist. No matter how hard you try, it's just not going to look the way you really want it to look.
I also learned that I really don't have any patience. How do I go about getting some?

What a great Christmas!
I can't wait for 2010!

Family Pictures

We took family pictures in November and they turned out FABULOUS!! I'm so excited to share them with all of you. I will post them soon, REAL soon. Promise!

Moving on to Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving with G-ma Nan and G-pa David this year. It was great to have some time off and just hang out with all the family. Alyssa LOVES playing with her cousins. We can hardly get her to leave when it's time for us to go home. I'm sure thankful for Alyssa and her daddy! I don't know what I would do without them!

Something else I did in November was take a little bit of time to get together with my old roomies from college. It seems like forever ago since I went to college, but I sure had some good times and memories. We spent all night talking about all our great memories. I'm glad I got to see all of them. I sure hope we do this again next year!

I took this picture off of Melissa's blog. Thanks Melissa!
