A New School Year

A new school year started for all of us a couple of weeks ago. I am teaching a full day Kindergarten class this year, which is a lot of work and very tiring, but has it's rewards. Chayce is in his last year of law school. I can't believe were finally there. He is busy as can be working hard. He got a good job offer for after he graduates. I'm so proud of him and how hard he has worked. I can't wait for the next chapter of our lives to begin next year. Alyssa is going to a different preschool this year than last year. She absolutely loves her school. I sure hope we can all survive this school year. It is going to be a busy and very exhausting school year. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the long run!

Alyssa on the first day of her school!

Disneyland-Day 1

We started out our Disneyland / California Adventure fun by going to California Adventure.
This is the first picture we took of Alyssa at California Adventure.
The flowers were really pretty there.
We started the day by going to Playhouse Disney. It was a lot of fun. We got to see Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einstein's, Handy Manny, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh-all of Alyssa's favorie shows. She really enjoyed Playhouse Disney on stage.

She loves Handy Manny.

Nan and Chayce on one of the rides.

Family picture in front of the waterfall. Chayce and I got a picture here right after we got engaged, 6 years ago. I can't believe it! Time sure flys when your having fun!

Me and Alyssa is our cute Bugs Life glasses.

Chayce and Alyssa in the Bugs Life glasses.

Alyssa posing like usual!
This picture was actually suppose to be at the end of this blog, but I always have to some issues when blogging. Anyway, this is what Alyssa looked like at the end of the day. She looked like this at the end of every day. On the way back to the hotel tonight she told us that she was really tired and wanted to go back to the "hotemple". I'm pretty sure that's a combination of the temple and hotel. It was really cute!

This picture and the next couple of pictures are of the toy soldiers from the movie Toy Story. They asked for some volunteers to come help them with a few things in a little show they were giving. Alyssa volunteered and went out to join a few other kids. Chayce and I were really surprised that she volunteered. She is usually a little shy around people she doesn't know. She was very brave and cute. She joined them in marching but when it came to the beanbag toss she decided to become shy again and just stood there, watching the other kids through their beanbags in the bin. The audience got a kick out of her. We were just proud of her for being so brave to go out in front of the audience.

Alyssa loved watching the street parade on daddy's shoulders.

Disneyland-Day 2

This was probably the most exciting Disneyland day of them all. Today Alyssa received royal treatment thanks to Grandma Nan. The pictures below will explain everything!
Alyssa looking cute as can be in her special Minnie Mouse outfit we bought just for Disneyland.
Grandma Nan bought her a cute hat and sunglasses that matched her outfit perfect!

Alyssa was so excited to see the princess castle.

What a lucky daddy!

We finally got to see Minnie Mouse!

We also got to see Mickey Mouse!

Alyssa loves Minnie and Mickey Mouse!

She loves Goofy too!

Alyssa's favorite ride at Disneyland was the teacups.
Everytime we would ask her what ride she wanted to go on she would say the teacups.

Here is the beginning of Alyssa's royal treatment. Grandma Nan treated her to a day at the Bibidee Bobidee Boutique where Alyssa choose to get a Cinderella makeover.
This is the beginning of her amazing transformation.

Her Fairy God Mother started by doing her hair after she picked out all of her clothes.

She held the face mask so they could sprinkle fairy dust on her hair.

After getting her hair done, makeup done and her nails painted she was almost finished.

The let her look at herself in the magic mirror just after they finished the makeover.

Here she is all done waiting to get her pictures taken in the carriage.

Alyssa got pictures with the animals in the forest.

Then she got pictures in front of Cinderella's carriage.

Then she got to sit in Cinderella's carriage.

This was her dressing room where she got to magically change into her beautiful dress the mice made for her.

After the makeover, we went and got pictures with Cinderella. Alyssa was in heaven.

She also got pictures with Sleeping Beauty and Mulan.

By the end of the night she was just tired as can be. What little 3 year old girl wouldn't be after having such an exciting day. I just love being a mom, especially to such a sweet, beautiful, fun girly girl like her.
Thanks Grandma Nan for one of the best days ever!!

Disneyland-Day 3

Alyssa with Jasmine and Aladin

Alyssa wasn't afraid of any rides. She went on everyride in both parks that she was tall enough to go on. In fact she wanted to go on every ride so bad that she would sometimes stand on her tip toes or put her chin up when they were measuring her so that she would be tall enough. It was so funny! This is us on Splash Mountain.
She loved it!
Alyssa loved posing on every corner and ride to get her picture taken.

The Carousal was one of Alyssa's favorite rides. She loved waving to everyone.

We decided to take a minute to rest our feet and try a Mint Julep. It was pretty good. While we were drinking our Mint Juleps we saw the Wayne's brothers and all of their families trying to enjoy a day at Disneyland. They were surrounded by a bunch of Disneyland workers. Chayce tried to get a good picture of them but all we managed was a picture of a whole bunch of random people's heads. Oh well.
This picture is of me and chayce just after the firework show that night.
The fireworks at Disneyland were really neat and fun to watch.

Disneyland-Day 4

The last day of our Disneyland trip we went to both Disneyland and California Adventure. We were so exhausted after this day. Four days in a row at Disneyland/California Adventure is fun but VERY tiring. We had so much fun! Alyssa has been asking to go back every day since we've been home. She loved every minute of it. Well worth the sore feet and long drive back home early the next morning.
Entrance of Disneyland
Dumbo ride

We waited in line for a long time to see Tinkerbell.
When we finally got to her Alyssa decided she was going to be shy.
Alyssa is obsessed with the letter A because her name starts with A. We just had to get a picture of her sitting in the A of California Adventure.

Alyssa's first time watching the Electric Parade.
