Alyssa Jane

I decided I need to get caught up on some scrapbooking before school starts again, so I have been going through a bunch of pictures. Instead of scrapbooking, like I should be doing, I am blogging. This is the problem I run into a lot. I begin doing one thing, then my mind goes wondering, then I start doing something else. I swear I never finish what I need to do. Anyway, these pictures are the latest pictures I had taken of Alyssa. My sister's friend Janelle Bird-88 Photography-took them. She does a great job! If you are interested in a photographer, especially a good children's photographer, I recommend her. Plus, you can't beat her pricing. Check her blog out at 88photos.blogspot.com.

These are Alyssa's 3 year old pictures taken in May 2009. I have to warn you now that there are a lot of pictures. I tried to narrow them down, but they are all just too darn cute!

I can't decide if I like this one better in color or black and white.

Alyssa you're so beautiful. We love you!!

4th of July Fun!

We went to the cabin for the 4th of July. We had a family reunion with Chayce's dad's side of the family. It was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect, the fireworks were amazing and there was so much yummy food to eat. Here are some of the pictures from the this fun weekend.

The kids sitting in the back of the truck waiting for the fireworks to begin.

The gang getting ready for the fireworks to start.

Earlier that day we went to a concert and the band playing was named "The ____(something) monkeys." That is why Alyssa has a monkey mask on. The kids went up on stage to dance. Alyssa LOVES dancing, so she had the time of her life.

Alyssa in the monkey mask-sorry about the picture being the wrong way.
I'm still trying to figure everything out.

The kids loved piling on top of grandpa in the hammock.

Alyssa woke up this morning screaming and crying because she had a nightmare that I threw away grandpa David's birthday cake. For those of you who don't know, my child has an obsession with food-especially sweets, so this was very traumatic dream for her. Who's children have nightmares about a cake being thrown away? I don't know-probably not very many :) Alyssa has a huge smile in this picture because we FINALLY sang happy birthday to grandpa so she got a piece of cake! She waited all day for us to sing happy birthday too. She was so excited for that piece of cake she could hardly stand it.

This would be a picture of all the cakes and pies we had there.
They were so tasty but I ate WAY too much!

Alyssa having one of her moments!

The kids were down by the fire pit for a good part of the day gathering sticks to roast marshmallows. They were so excited for the smores.

Grandpa Clifford and Grandpa ClaraLee were telling us some pretty funny stories from their past.

Family picture at the cabin-apparently Chayce wasn't ready for the picture to be taken!

Alyssa LOVED the craft table!

What a fun 4th of July!

My First Blogging Experience

I decided that it is time to join the blogging world. I feel like I am out of the loop with all the new technological creations. My little girl is already 3 years old. I feel like I have missed out on writing about her and all the wonderful and cute things she has done. Please bare with me as I figure out how to blog. It may take me a while because I am not very computer savvy!
